The European Union lodged a complaint at the World Trade Organization on Thursday against China's imposition of anti dumping duties on imports of stainless steel tubes
EU said "The EU believes the anti dumping duties are incompatible with WTO law, both on procedural and on substantive grounds. The duties of 9.7% to 11.1% imposed on European products are significantly hampering access to the Chinese market.”
The complaint involves high quality steel products that China needs to build new power plants
China's steel industry found it could not produce the same products as cheaply as its Japanese and European rivals. China ruled that imports were being priced unfairly and imposed anti dumping tariffs.
