According to Steel Orbis, China exported a total of 31,615.32 mt stainless steel pipes in October 2012, of which 4,358.51 mt went to India, 2,608.85 mt to South Korea and 2,534.47 mt to the USA. They say that, according to figures released by China’s General Administration of Customs, this is a 17.76 percent decrease from September 2012.
Import figures also show a decrease. The total stainless steel imports of China in October amounted to 3,570.76 mt, which is 7.19 percent down from September. Of this amount 1,622.52 mt came from Japan and 336.41 mt came from Sweden. Other countries from which China imported stainless steel pipes in October were South Korea, Germany, the USA and Taiwan.
