The 3-month price of LME nickel closed at $18,325 per metric ton on Feb. 13, 2013. At $18,285, the nickel spot price finished the market day on the LME up 0.2 percent per metric ton.
Following two days of rising prices, the Indian nickel cash price dropped 0.2 percent.
Chinese stainless steel prices closed flat for the day. The price of Chinese ferro-chrome was unchanged. The price of Chinese ferro-moly saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row. The prices of Chinese 304 and 316 stainless coil and scrap held steady.
