Turkish flat steel buyers have accepted higher prices and begun to place orders with producers, sources told Metal Bulletin sister title Steel First on Wednesday February 20.
Domestic producers are asking $640-650 per tonne ex-works for hot rolled coil (HRC) for April production, unchanged since the beginning of February. A trader booked HRC at $630 per tonne ex-works from an electric arc furnace producer in Turkey; Steel First was told.
