Surface Quality: The material shall be straight, smooth and uniform in cross section, in composition and in temper All surfaces shall be uniformly bright and free from excessive scales, corrosion, cracks, seams, scratches, slivers and foreign contamination.

5.            Packaging and marking:

Packing: The material shall be packed with suitable protective material and sealed in wooden boxes and in such a manner so as to prevent damage and contamination during shipment.

Marking: Each Package should label indicating:

Lot number and temper condition

The product number Manufacturer identification ASTM Specification number
