According to data of Taiwan’s customs, Taiwan’s wire rod exports totaled 19,041 tonne in May, rising by 34.6% from 14,143 tonne in April.
Among them, 5,257 tonne were exports to China, 3,682 tonne were to Thailand and 3,522 tonne were to Korea.
Meanwhile, the country’s wire rod imports totaled 25,180 tonne in May, decreasing by 38% from 40,612 tonne in April. Thailand was the largest wire rod exporter to Taiwan with 7,557 tonne.
