Turkey's stainless flat steel imports fell 8.4 percent in Jan

 According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's stainless flat steel imports rose by 8.9 percent compared to the previous month and were down 8.4 percent compared to January 2012, amounting to 29,072 metric tons. The value of these imports was $73.3 million, increasing by 8.6 percent as compared to December 2012 and down 15.3 percent year on year.

 

In 2012, Turkey's stainless flat steel imports had amounted to 355,542 metric tons, increasing 0.8 percent compared to 2011. The value of these imports was $917.4 million, decreasing by 13.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
